Sleeping Difficulties

Is this you?

  • You are frustrated. You keep a strict bedtime hoping that regularity will help, but you still can’t get to sleep at night. You lie in bed evening after evening staring at ceiling, or maybe you fall asleep immediately but find yourself awake at 2:00 AM for no reason and no matter what you do, you can not fall back asleep.

  • You hate looking at the clock because you’re afraid it will confirm that you are indeed wide awake yet again at the same time you seem to awaken most nights, and you most certainly do not want to be awake right now.

  • You’re even more afraid that you won’t make it back to sleep with enough time to feel OK the next day. You mentally start rearranging your day and thinking up ways to delegate your responsibilities to others so you can sleep in.

  • You’re exhausted. You drag through the day hoping that caffeine or sugar can save you, but they never quite do the trick. Even the simplest everyday tasks now seem like daunting chores.

  • You feel hopeless. You’ve tried everything. The doctor has given you medication that knocks you out but you can’t seem to get off of it, and you know this isn’t a long term solution. Maybe you’ve tried drinking alcohol but you wake up feeling groggy, or you’ve tried marijuana but you’re not quite sure it’s a safe or effective long-term solution to get the sleep you need. Melatonin helps sometimes but gives you disturbing dreams and deep down you know it’s not the answer. You’ve scoured the internet and you just don’t know where else to turn.

Don’t worry. I can help you! My story is a lot like yours. I struggled to get to sleep and took Ambien to try and compensate, but even then I never slept well. I was always tired, spent way too much time in bed trying to sleep, and missed out on social activities due to fatigue.

The truth is cortisol, thyroid, and hormones are often contributors when it comes to sleep problems, but gut problems and other imbalances in the body may be contributing factors as well. The key to solving your fatigue can be found in addressing the root causes of the issue. To do this, you have to take a good look at the four pillars of health. They are:

  • Hormone Balance

  • Toxicity

  • Nutrition Deficiency

  • Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual Balance

When you work with me, we will take a deep dive into each of these four factors and get to the bottom of why you’re struggling with sleep, and how to fix it.
